Here’s everything you need to know!
This is my first Indian wedding. What should I expect?
Indian weddings are a whirlwind of fun, color, and traditions. They're known for being grand affairs that can stretch over a few days. While each region has its unique customs, you can expect Punjabi 🤝 Gujarati (and a little ATL too) with lively colors, music, flavorful food, and lots of dancing.
To make the occasion even more special, we encourage all our guests to embrace the festivities by wearing Indian attire. Whether it’s a saree, lehenga, sherwani, or kurta, feel free to join us in adding vibrant colors and traditional charm to our celebration!
What do I wear?
Sangeet/ Mehendi Party (click here) - This is where the real fun kicks in! It's all about coming together with lots of dancing. Bright bold colors are definitely the vibe. Fun and vibrant, easy to dance in. Let’s party! 💃
Wedding Ceremony (click here) - It's time to embrace tradition. Feel free to go all out in modest formal attire. Classy and comfortable. Don't forget the bling. 💍
Reception (click here) - Our reception is Black Tie – we'd love to see everyone in black or darker jewel tones. So, bring on the glitz and glam. Go for traditional tuxedos or blend in some Indo-Western vibes – it's your call! ✨🤵🏻♂️🥂
For those ordering online - quick tip - be sure you order “ready to wear” so you don’t receive unstitched fabric.
For those asking, loafers/ dress shoes are totally appropriate with Indian attire as are sandals/ flats/ heels.
Where can I find Indian attire?
Here are some sites we’d recommend if you’d like to do a little shopping! (clickable links)
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
If your guest's name is included on your invitation when you RSVP, then you're all set! However, we regret that, at this time, we won't be able to accommodate additional guests, even though we'd love to have everyone join us.
CAN I BRING my children?
To give all of our guests the opportunity to celebrate freely, we politely request no children.
Do you have a packing list?
Do not worry! We DO have a packing list, just for you. Check it out here.
